Labs that make a layer visible instead of describing it.
The reason to teach on x64base is not that it is small. It is that the parts a database course usually has to draw on a whiteboard are, here, things a student can open and step through: an index node, a memo block, a work area, a relation.
What ships
- Runtime-proven Datasets in every flavor. The same data as x64, x32, and Visual FoxPro tables, plus a reference copy — so "what changed between generations" is a diff, not a claim.
- Active beta Labs. Character encoding, index internals, historical data models, and normalization, each as a command you run and watch.
- Runtime-proven Transcripts and regressions. The same evidence the project uses to check itself works as courseware: here is the question, here is the run, here is the answer.
What this is not
Not a learning-management system. It does not enroll students, track them, or grade them, and there is no plan for it to. Chartered Packaging a lesson as a portable unit is designed but not built.
